It’s been almost a week without facebook. I have to check my work account, but don’t exchange conversation with people or like stuff when doing that. It’s meant a good bit more time each day and evening. I have a whiteboard that I haphazardly write tasks that I may put off, and I’ve been crossing things off left and right. My mood has been much more elevated, as well. More spring in my step and singing and dancing around as I get stuff done or play with the dogs.
Some of this might be relief now that the election has passed, but some is certainly ditching the dynamics of social media. Some people clearly benefit from it, but apparently, I do better without. I’m looking forward to my end of December monthly post: picking highlights among the projects and mountain moments.
