The Studio is a small (interior is 9′ x 11′) off-grid structure. Fully finished inside and out, this small building will be used for quiet, creative, and data-free activities.
I was on a cramped budget when I built the shed, managing a mortgage, initiating construction on the main dwelling, and getting a house ready to sell. I purchased all windows for the shed on Craigslist. I knew that such a tiny space with three dogs would be unbearable without light, and so windows, windows, and more windows it was. The interior feels surprisingly spacious.
I ended up staying in the shed for around 18 months.
I lived in the Studio shed while the main house was under construction. Now that I’m in the main house, my son uses the shed when he visits.
