Birds

Note that songbirds are being killed off by a blight this summer. Pennsylvanians have been advised to remove bird feeders and baths to prevent spread. The diversity may seem lower because the birds aren’t as visible.

  • Daddy Longlegs
  • Ichneumon wasps
  • Tortoiseshell beetle
  • Cucumber beetles (on peppers, not cukes)
  • No monarchs as of July 20.
  • Black flies, bottle, flies, hover flies
  • Whitetail dragonfly and a similar darker colored one.
