Horus was adopted from an absolutely horrendous rescue in Tennessee back around 2010. His mother was vicious and feral and gave birth to a litter on the way to the euthaniziation chamber. The kill shelter doled out the pups to an awful ‘rescue’ where he developed fears and anxiety almost as quickly as he collected parasites. I adopted him at 5 months. Once I got his health up to acceptable standards, we began classes in obedience and agility to give him skills to function in a home.

Horus is 10 now, and in good health. He’s still wary, but loves the company of his brother dogs and walks in the woods. He loves apples, carrots, and red cabbage as treats.
