Life in a Green Commune

Volvox are gorgeous organisms. They live somewhere between the individual, a group, and are a beautiful manifestation of physically efficient geometry. They are often abundant in deep, murky ponds, glimmering spheres of euglenids, tethered by minute threads of bioplasm. I am reminded that the energy added by the sun often leads to the genesis of beautiful, orderly life forms.

Thus inspired, I painted this.
