- Flock of about 12 mourning doves, daily
- Crow, daily, diminishing as the winter moves along. Coming back in late February and March.
- Downy Woodpeckers, daily
- Hairy Woodpeckers, daily
- Red bellied Woodpeckers
- Pileated wood peckers- a pair, a few times a week- just one as Spring approaches
- Fox sparrow- once
- Pine siskin- once
- Bluejay- a pair! They love peanuts!
- A Great Horned Owl! Impressively large, perched outside my bedroom window by the light of a gibbous moon, then dove out of sight. Impressive! January 30.
- Raven
- March 8- first finch! A female purple finch. Finches are having a rough year, apparently
- March 19. A couple chipping sparrows. Newcomers this year!
Invertebrates
- Millipedes, both tiny and the giant ones. Observed under wet leaves March 11.
- Small nondescript spiders hanging around the hot tub.
